My apartment in Firenze

So finally I’m catching up to Italy! I’ve already been here for two weeks, loving it and clearly not had a lot of down time 😊 to keep my blog updated. Had visits so far from my sister Kiara and my friend Danna, and Bob arrives today yippee!

So here is my apartment…located near the Sante Croce Church, just off the Piazza San Pier Maggiore. Sourced through the fabulous AirBnB. The apartment has lovely host owners who have been wonderful.

Second floor with all the green shutters…

Our first few days here were quite rainy and cool…as you can see from the view from my favorite breakfast place. Which also serves lunch and happy hour with appetizers. You’d never have to cook here if you didn’t want to, good food literally every two steps.

The beautiful Santa Croce Church just down the road with delightful bells ringing on the hour, which is far more melodic than the very happy study abroad students who inhabit ”my” square on the weekends until the wee hours πŸ˜‚!

Ahhh….lovely, just lovely! Your reality in Firenze is my fantasy in β€œThe Greater Palm Beaches”! Be safe. Drink lovely wine…as one of my friends likes to say, β€œLife is too short to drink bad wine,β€β€οΈπŸ™πŸ»βœŒπŸΎπŸ·

  3. I think Paul lived close by there when he was in Florence – he would have been one of those lively students mucking about the Piazza under your window!
