Iona Abbey – Sunday

On Sunday we started the day by sharing Eucharist with another group of Episcopal pilgrims at a nearby Church of Scotland (Presbyterian). St Columba Hotel, Iona

We spent the past four nights at the St Columba Hotel on the Isle of Iona, my bedroom was the third window from the right. Beautiful views of the Island of Mull across the way.

Iona Saturday

After three ferries we made it to Iona on Saturday afternoon. A beautiful holy island that we have all been enjoying.

Corran Ferry

Waiting for our first ferry ride. Came through some beautiful countryside to get here.

Getting on the bus…

Lovely sunshine in Glasgow this morning. Quick selfie with some of my fellow travelers as we get on the coach.

Feeling the love…

Arrived safe and sound to Glasgow. Yummy ‘flat white’ to wake me up before the trek of buses and ferries to Iona today.

Newark airport

Having some lovely cocktails to get ready for our flight. I’m pictured here with Father James (our fearless leader), his wonderful wife Eli and her mum Laura.
